Git and ZIP below provide the same reviewed commit shown in the source note. Both require a local build with the setup tools, including Git.

Clone with Git
git clone https://github.com/snuri00/ps2-web-recomp.git
cd ps2-web-recomp
git checkout --detach 6526f4803d98e10de50bea3af104a4d26e9df033
git rev-parse HEAD

Run these commands in a terminal with Git installed. The final command prints the full reviewed commit. Then follow the setup guide for tools, your own game data and the build steps.

Download source ZIP

This ZIP contains the reviewed commit, not the moving main branch. Extract it before following setup. It is not a Windows installer or a ready-to-play game.

Looking for the latest development version?

The links and commands above use the reviewed snapshot. Upstream main can change after this review. If you choose it, follow its own README, record its commit, and recheck build and compatibility conditions.

Source code, game data and browser builds

Project source
Git or ZIP provides the recompiler, supporting runtime and scripts. It does not include a playable game.
Your game data
Supply your own legally acquired game data for the game-specific build. This guide does not host game files or disc images.
Generated browser build
The local build produces game-specific web files. Serve that output as described in the tutorial; downloading source alone does not produce it.

Before you build

Build on Linux or Apple silicon macOS. Play generated builds in Chrome or Edge on Windows/macOS with WebGPU.

The tutorial covers the required tools, source preparation, game-specific output and local serving. Check the current upstream README as requirements can change.
